Since I last left off I realized I accidentally left something out. I'm not sure exactly which CPR it was, but there was a certain time we had to do CPR and Kawamoto had to put her van outside of her house so that she could put all the projects in her garage. Hilariously, someone stole her van! But of course, you know whose fault it was? Yes, you guessed it - she blamed us. 'It wouldn't of been stolen if I didn't have your CPR projects in my garage.' Hahah oh man...
I decided on leaving the teacher who chose to live a different lifestyle, nameless. I feel that unless granted that teacher's permission I should not use his name. Anyway, onto the story that so many of you are bugging me to finish. 10th grade was intense. The battle between Kawamoto vs William and I escalated once the exchange students from Japan came.
Kawamoto calls me up on her knees begging me to host an exchange student one more time. "I swear, I will get Mike to go to Japan if he does this." Ironically, she'll end up doing the exact opposite, and screwing me out of going. We accept the exchange student despite my mom not wanting to have another one.
I had become closer friends with the how does one say politely, queer teacher? He was funny, understood my very tongue and cheek humor, and liked a lot of the same Japanese stuff I did. But so what if he was gay right? Well at least I thought so - never knew Kawamoto was such a homophobic person. Anyway, we were going to have a day of bowling at Cerritos Lanes. There all the exchange students and students of Interact club would 'interact' with each other and have fun. We had to sign up teams and I put that teacher's name on our team. Never did I thought what I just did would be considered 'wrong.'
Next event we go to is Disneyland. What really helped is, the teacher spoke Japanese extremely well and as a result - he would help William and I out when we couldn't understand or say something to the exchange students that we wanted to. Ironically, Kawamoto who IS Japanese can't speak it AT ALL and the teacher that we were with, is white. Ask anyone, the only Japanese teacher on campus has never spoken in a Japanese conversation before. If exchange students spoke to her in Japanese, she would reply in English!!! HAHAHAHAHA oh my god, that was so gay
Disneyland was an absolute blast. The teacher really connected with us there and we would sing Japanese songs in line, or recite the line lyrics or ride lyrics. (Note: Anyone who knows me well - knows I'm so gay that I know all the rides lyrics and line lyrics in Disneyland) That teacher did to so it was fun.
The big mistake:
Our next trip was to Universal Studios. Unfortunately, the teacher wasn't invited. But what did I do? I invited him! HAHA. He took the day off, drove down there and met us there. We called his cell phone and met at a spot. We spent the day together laughing and having fun. It was really helpful that he was there too - because once again, he could translate and speak for us and teach us - unlike Kawamoto.
Once we got back to the parking lot of the school - Kawamoto found out I had invited the teacher. She talked so much shit to anyone who was there. Many people from Whitney who were host families later told me what she said. "Who does he think he is?" and all this gay stuff that a loser child would say - or in this case, a woman who refuses to grow up - Kawamoto.
It was time for the exchange students to go and my mom and I went to the farewell party. My mom wasn't feeling well and left early. After Kawamoto realized she was gone, she took it upon herself to hint at my relationship with the teacher and how she dislikes me. I was so pissed off, I went outside and called my mom to pick me up and take me home. I came back in and William told me I am in trouble for "leaving the restaurant without asking." HAHAHA WHAT THE HELL? I need permission to leave a restaurant? Oh my god that was so gay. She even sarcastically said "Don't leave her again, because I wouldn't to have to kill you." WTF? Okay, sadistic bitch...
The icing on the cake:
Kawamooto called in my good friend, William Tjipto into her classroom. She spoke with William quietly and asked him what was going on between me and a teacher. She asked him if he thought it was strange that I had a teacher as a friend and hinted at a sexual relationship between us. Then she tells William to never tell anyone about this conversation and that she trusted him not to. So of course William comes up to be 2 minutes later and tells me what happened. Interesting. Knowing how much my mom kicks ass I go home and tell her. Mom calls principle and Kawamoto and shoots a crazy promo on them.
What did my mom say? How did Kawamoto 'screw' me out of going to Japan? Find out in part III
